General Information

The Turkish  Mathematical Society is founded in 1948 and established for the nation wide enchancement and expansion of mathematics and related sciences. The society in particular, supports methematical research and mathematics by encouraging and acknowledging their contributions in science, social, economical, technical fields and in mathematics. The aims of the society include, improvisation of mathematics education at graduate, undergraduate and at all school levels, as well as augmentation of the public influence of mathematics in culture by cultivating its attractiveness.

The Turkish Mathematical Society has been a full member of the International Mathematical Union (IMU) since 1960. It is also a member of European Mathematical Society (EMS). The Society is located in İstanbul and has a also a branch in Ankara.
